It's the Great Pumpkin, Mac Harris!

The gorgeous fall weather has been calling us outside to start some family traditions. Since Halloween is right around the corner we decided to go hunt for some pumpkins and carve them up.

We got to ride a big wagon out to the field.

"Wait! There's more over there!!!"

"I like these three. I'll take 'em all!"

"Mama made me get one that was more my size"

"These are some good lookin' pumpkins!"

"Ewwww slimmy inside"

"Gotta get all those insides out"

"Mama carved a face in my pumpkin for me. But I got to inspect the final product"

"Looks good to me"

"Daddy even go into the action. His looks really spooky"

"Here are our spooky family of pumpkins. We are all ready for Halloween now!"

A is for apples!!!

In between my hectic travel schedule for work we decided to enjoy the fall weather with a hayride and some apple picking. Neither Mac nor I had ever been before and lots of fun was had by all. Here is his unique take on the day.

Have you ever seen two studdlier guys? I think not.

Hummmm.... so how do I put one of those on my Christmas list?

So let me get this straight... I can't eat them all?

Yup, this is the one. We shall call it "the apple finder"!!

Hey...wait for Mama!

There she is! Let's move!

Hee hee... that's a lot of apples!

I got one!

We have to fit all of those in my wagon?

Takin' inventory. Looks good!

All right driver, I think we have enough apples.

We had so much fun!!! I think we might have to do this again every year.

Mac's first hair cut

At 10 months old I realized that it was time for Mac's first hair cut. As much as I wanted to avoid the potential trauma of getting his ear cut off, it needed to be done as his hair was covering his ears and he was developing a mullet. So off Mommy and Daddy and Mac went to Snip Its, the kids salon in Princeton. Mac was amazing! He didn't move or cry. He looked around and was very interested in all the colors, sounds, and new people. Now he has a big boy cut and I am left feeling like he is growing too fast.

The pre cut shot.

Mac is concentrating really hard on being really still.

Bring on the barber shop!

All done!

Spring is here!

We have all been hibernating for the past couple of months which would explain my lack of posts. However, it was beautiful the other weekend so I thought some pictorial evidence that Mac is still growing and developing was a good idea. Mac thought it was important to share some of his achievements with you all.

I went to the park for the first time the other day. Mom said I would like the swings but I am not too sure about them just yet.

Little help here guys!

Thanks Mama!

I am quite the accomplished eater now. My favorite foods are rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, and bananas. But don't mix them together! I like my foods separated, please.

No pictures while I'm eating Mom!

I don't even make much of a mess. I am a pretty clean kid. Mom really appreciates this.

Since we have been spending so much time in doors I have gotten pretty good at some other tricks too. Here is me on my tummy.

I can sit up all by myself too!

But only for a few minutes.

Good thing Mama is always around for support.

But my most favorite time of the day is when I wake up in the morning and I get to cuddle in bed with Daddy before he gets up to take a shower.
The next pictures will be of my trip with Mama and Grammy to Louisiana. Look out Big Easy! I'm a comin'!

Thank you Santa!

Happy New Year Everyone!!! Mac was so excited about his first Christmas that he insisted I post some pictures and comments to have you all share in our fun.
Mommy and Daddy bundled me up and drove out to Illinois to Grammy's house. I was perfect for them on the ride out and slept the whole time. Once we got there I got to see a lot of people for the first time.

This is my Great Aunt Charlene. She was so excited to have a boy to cuddle with.

This is my Uncle Brian and his dog Joxter. Joxter thought some of my squeeky toys were his.

I got to meet my cousin Elise. She was born two weeks after me. At first I wasn't sure that I liked her.

But then I realized that she's pretty cool. She's a chill baby like me and really cute.

Aunt Megan loved to snuggle with me.

Grammy made me this stocking for Santa to fill up. It has my name on it and everything!!

There were so many presents that they wrapped around the tree.

Grammy snuggled with me on Christmas morning and helped me open my stocking.

Mommy unwrapped my gift from Santa. I got a jumperoo!!! I just love bouncing up and down in it.

Mommy and Daddy got me this fish tank for my crib. I love to watch the bubbles.

I also got this train that spells my name. I love Christmas! I can't wait for next year!!! After Christmas was over, I got to spend time with Aunt Stephanie, Auntie Anne and cousins Laura, Katherine, Sarah Kate and Audrey. More pictures of cousins Christmas to follow.
