The Wonder Pets Save the Birthday Party!!!

It seemed like yesterday that Mac was born and now he is turning 2!! We just had to celebrate with a Wonder Pets themed birthday party. Mac wasn't too sure what was going on, he just knew that there were a lot of people paying attention to him and he LOVED it.

We had Wonder Pets EVERYTHING!

We even had a celery dipping station. You can't celebrate saving a birthday party without a little celery!

All Mac's friends had fun playing on his new playground.

Mac especially loved it.

Mommy made Wonder Pets cupcakes with chocolate "W's" on the top. They were super yummy!

Mac wasn't too sure why everyone was singing at him. He got a little shy and needed some help from Mommy and Daddy blowing out the candle.

But it sure did taste good.

After the party died down, it was time for some presents.

"Lightning McQueen!!!"

A good time was had by all. Mac's actual birthday will be a small celebration with just Mommy and Daddy and of coarse...more presents.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Mac Harris!

The gorgeous fall weather has been calling us outside to start some family traditions. Since Halloween is right around the corner we decided to go hunt for some pumpkins and carve them up.

We got to ride a big wagon out to the field.

"Wait! There's more over there!!!"

"I like these three. I'll take 'em all!"

"Mama made me get one that was more my size"

"These are some good lookin' pumpkins!"

"Ewwww slimmy inside"

"Gotta get all those insides out"

"Mama carved a face in my pumpkin for me. But I got to inspect the final product"

"Here are our spooky family of pumpkins. We are all ready for Halloween now!"

A is for apples!!!

In between my hectic travel schedule for work we decided to enjoy the fall weather with a hayride and some apple picking. Neither Mac nor I had ever been before and lots of fun was had by all. Here is his unique take on the day.

Hummmm.... so how do I put one of those on my Christmas list?

So let me get this straight... I can't eat them all?

Yup, this is the one. We shall call it "the apple finder"!!

We had so much fun!!! I think we might have to do this again every year.

Mac's first hair cut

At 10 months old I realized that it was time for Mac's first hair cut. As much as I wanted to avoid the potential trauma of getting his ear cut off, it needed to be done as his hair was covering his ears and he was developing a mullet. So off Mommy and Daddy and Mac went to Snip Its, the kids salon in Princeton. Mac was amazing! He didn't move or cry. He looked around and was very interested in all the colors, sounds, and new people. Now he has a big boy cut and I am left feeling like he is growing too fast.

Spring is here!

We have all been hibernating for the past couple of months which would explain my lack of posts. However, it was beautiful the other weekend so I thought some pictorial evidence that Mac is still growing and developing was a good idea. Mac thought it was important to share some of his achievements with you all.

I went to the park for the first time the other day. Mom said I would like the swings but I am not too sure about them just yet.

I am quite the accomplished eater now. My favorite foods are rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, and bananas. But don't mix them together! I like my foods separated, please.

I don't even make much of a mess. I am a pretty clean kid. Mom really appreciates this.

Since we have been spending so much time in doors I have gotten pretty good at some other tricks too. Here is me on my tummy.

I can sit up all by myself too!

But only for a few minutes.

Good thing Mama is always around for support.

But my most favorite time of the day is when I wake up in the morning and I get to cuddle in bed with Daddy before he gets up to take a shower.
